Venetian Wall, taken along a Canal

I took these photographs of a wall whilst in Venice because the growths on the wall and colours are so fascinating. I make the assumption that the copper wires within the concrete wall have something to do with the orange appearance of the surface, along with the presence of lichens, however I am unaware of the cause of the strong pink and blue aspects. The wall felt very hard to touch on the concrete sections however, once you began to run your hand over the coloured areas it felt very delicate accompanied by the soft areas of lichens/growths. Unfortunately I do not know the cause of the beautiful and intriguing appearance of the wall however I am extremely inspired by the presence of these colours within nature and the texture that they have created.
